My target audience will be teenagers and adults ranging from the ages of 18 to 30. Teens younger may want to see the film however the rating will be 18! Our film trailer is advertising a film that could happen in real life. We wanted to go for something more realistic, such as 'The Descent' or 'Cabin' Fever' rather than a horror like 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' or the 'Saw' sega as realism means it's feasible and you can relate to the characters as their just normal people.Our target audience will be interested in horror films, tattoos and going out at night.
My horror trailer features a few conventions of successful horror films/trailers i have seen before.
Firstly, it's based in the woods. Some of the most successful films are based in somewhere eerie such as the woods like 'Shrooms' and 'Cabin fever'.
